The Icicle Creek Water Smart Gardens Program (WSGP), as part of the Icicle Strategy, aims to fulfill the guiding principal of improving domestic water supply in the Icicle Creek subbasin.
The Icicle River Middle School Demonstration Garden was implemented by Chelan County on behalf of the Icicle Work Group with funding through the Department of Ecology- Office of the Columbia River.
The project consisted of installation of new fish screening and raw-water delivery infrastructure for the City of Leavenworth’s municipal water intake made necessary by construction of the step-pool passage channel and improving passage above the Boulder Field.
